Born Sandii Suzuki in Hawaii, with a mix of Japanese, Spanish and American blood, she moved to Tokyo in the early '70s and became a DJ on NHK radio. After winning a Yamaha sponsored songwriting contest in 1976, and having a solo hit single "Mystery Nile" in 1979, Sandii joined up with Yuyakegakudan, (who later became the Sunsetz), a group led by guitarist Makoto Kubota, who she later married. Sandii's first album, "Eating Pleasure" (1980), was sung entirely in English, and received much critical attention. Her second album "Heat Scale" (1981), was recorded in Ibiza, Spain, and released in a total of 17 countries. Both albums were produced by Harumi Hosono of YMO. In a bid to enhance her European profile, Sandii recorded "Something Special" with Stephen and also sang backing vocals for David Sylvian. In more recent times Sandii has concentrated most heavily on traditional Hawaiian music, and in addition runs a hula school.

Andy "Stoker" (Growcott, Andy) (drums)

Andy "Stoker" Growcott (Drums) joined the fairly anonymous "Dexy's Midnight Runners" in 1979 (along with Mick Talbot, later to be in the "Style Council"). In early 1980 they donned Woolly hats and Donkey Jackets. They also climbed the charts to be No.1 with "Geno" and were about to become the biggest act in UK pop music. Stoker left Dexy's in July 1980 to join "The Bureau". At some unknown point over the next year he joined an incredibly unsuccessful partnership known as "Tin Tin". Only hanging around to make three pieces of known music, the original (Tin 1) Kiss Me, Hold It and She Loves Me. The "Tin Tin" thing just dissolved and Stoker went onto join Dave Wakeling (from "The Beat") in "General Public". His biggest claim to fame is appearing on the sleeve of "Hold It".
