Full Q: I was just wondering if it's true that your partnership with Robbie Williams is over. I heard that he is going back to his old songwriting partner Guy Chambers. And that he stopped working with you. Can you confirm this?

A: Please note that duffypedia is not the official Stephen Duffy & the Lilac Time website, but a site created and maintained by their fans. Stephen and Nick support us, so we can keep the website up to date and have put a link on www.thelilactime.com, but we are not in a position to make any official statements about the Duffy/Williams collaboration. As far as we know it was always meant to be only a couple of songs. This turned into a whole album and a world tour, but currently Stephen is working on his own recordings and a DVD.

You can get in touch with Stephen directly via www.thelilactime.com The emails addressed to him will be forwarded, but a reply is not guaranteed of course.

Q: What is Stephen Duffy's personal relationship with Simon Le Bon like? Has Stephen ever commented publically on Simon's songwriting?
A: As far as we know Stephen has never commented on his relationship with Simon Le Bon. In the 80s he was frequently quoted saying that he did not like the Duran Duran songs very much. He also once said that Duran Duran would not have been so successful if he had remained as their vocalist. We don't think that the other members of Duran Duran and Stephen kept in touch after they split. Stephen and Nick Rhodes definitely hadn't met for several years before they bumped into each other at a fashion show and decided to record together as The Devils. So it's unlikely that Stephen would know Simon well, but this is just us guessing.
