Comment from the website: Lilac Time's music has been compared to the pastoral minstrelising and timeless tranquillity of Nick Drake's music. This debut album from 1988 certainly has Drake's influence everywhere from the gracefully strummed songs such as 'Black Velvet' which had one reviewer suggesting that "..it was the perfect start to a perfect album and a perfect career as well". The band however failed to achieve the success they deserved as the music buying public's attention was elsewhere in the late 80's. |
